I graduated from  Clemson University with a BS in Accounting in December 1992.  Upon graduation I worked for three years in the audit department of Deloitte & Touche in Atlanta, GA.

After obtaining my CPA, I went to work for GTE Customer Networks in Alpharetta, GA as a Sr. Accountant working on a software conversion.  I enjoyed my time as the liaison between the accounting department and the IT department.  After the project was completed I became the General Ledger Accounting Manager and then unfortunately my job was moved to Dallas, TX .

I decided to remain in Atlanta and went in recruiting.  After a few short months I started my own firm, Gavin Goldberg, LLC.   We specialized in the recruiting of tax accountants and tax attorneys in the Southeast.  While a recruiter I decided to go back to graduate school.  After about six months of class I decided that it was silly to be getting a masters degree in a topic that I have never worked professionally.  That was the impetus behind me going back into corporate America.

I worked for nearly five years for Porsche Cars North America in their Human Resources department.  I was one of two generalists who were responsible for hiring, employee relations,  and training of employees at that organization.  My favorite group to work with was our parts distribution centers.  They certainly kept me on my toes.

Although I enjoyed my time in corporate America, I decided to resign in February of 2005 to start a residential construction company with my brother David.  In a quest to better understand the business I obtained my real estate license in July 2005.  Even though I primarily sell our own construction projects, I would be happy to help you with your needs or refer you to one of my competent colleagues in this business.
